Focused on interdisciplinary research, CACHE (Center for Advanced Computer-Human Ecosystems) is one of only a few VR labs nationwide with the capability to produce immersive VR experiences in-house from inception to completion. CACHE is equipped with state-of-the-art tools for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). CACHE maintains a synergistic collaboration with Kyle Johnsen's Virtual Experiences Laboratory (VEL) at the College of Engineering, leveraging his expertise as CACHE's assistant director. CACHE actively involves Allan D. Tate at the College of Public Health, further solidifying its role as UGA's premier facility for research on emerging human-technology interactions.
